the last week in march we went to california with matt's family. i had my reservations...being 31 weeks pregnant and toting around a very busy two year old, but we ended up having a great time. we spent a few days in palm springs with matt's brother, jay and then off to legoland we went. we spent 2 fun-filled days at legoland. a great place for the younger crowd (i think 3-8 years old is perfect). so this post will be pictures of our first day at legoland. all fresh and ready-to-go!
jake is escaping. this is what happened whenever the stroller stopped for a split second. jake had a certain affection for this buffalo made out of legos and shrubbery. he was convinced that it was a cow/bull and that we had to stay by it all day. lots of screamin' when we moved on.
it really was cool, some of the stuff they made out of legos. have i mentioned that i love legos??? i am a lego nerd for sure.
another favorite of jake's. the train in the little farm area. why did he love it so much you may be asking. well, do you see the picture in the background of the 3 cows? yep, there is your answer. we rode this train again and again. luckily it was not one of those high in demand rides, no waiting in line.
another cow. goodie. you got it. jake can sniff them out.
it was hillarious to watch this kid. he scaled the side of this barn several times. i had many thoughts such as "where's your mom? please don't let jake see you doing that. will jake be trying to do that on his own in 2 months?" etc.
pretty sure these guys are intent on finding some animal that will hold jake's interest for a second on this little boat ride through fairytale land.
found somethin'.
another favorite of jake's is african animals. elephants, zebras, monkeys, lions, etc.
and as i have mentioned in previous posts, he loves fish (especially sharks) so thank goodness legoland had an aquarium.
