happy mother's day!

here comes sara from neola.... i have been wanting some chickens, so for mother's day, my boys built me a chicken coop and we got ourselves a flock of chickens. love, love, love them!!! the chicken coop is sooo cute and so are the chickens. jake and i visit them 3 or 4 times a day. they give us fresh eggs and lots of entertainment (am i a desperate housewife?). anyway, thank you my boys! i love you both so much! i am the happiest mom in the world because i have you two.

jake got a little stain splattered on his head (or is that a big mole?).

this is "frizz". her feathers grow in backwards. she reminds me of a feather boa. so cute.

my neice named this girl "princess" because she loves to be held. she falls asleep in your arms. i am pretty sure some of you are freaking out right now (shannon).

the rest of the chickens are inside the coop. we have 12 right now.

we are now chicken farmers. thank you matt and jake!

family time

we have had lots of good family time this last week. last friday we got to have dinner with many jorgensen's in provo. it was great to see matt's oldest brother ron and his wife michelle from phoenix and also to see matt's aunt joy and uncle gary. we wish that we could see them more often.
we then went and spent the weekend with grandma rass at stacy's house. stacy and todd were in las vegas for an anniversary trip and we helped grandma care for the kids. as it turned out, maddie took care of all of us. i want a maddie at my house. i didn't take any pictures. pure laziness. we even went to discover gateway (the children's museum) and not a single picture. oh well. we had a great time with those little ashby munchkins.
we got home sunday, and grandpa and grandma jorgensen were here. they had been in provo for women's conference and then came to stay with their posterity in roosevelt for a few days. they left yesterday and we were sad to have them go. it would sure be fun if they moved here.
jake sure did take a liking to grandma. i think the feeling was mutual.

she even brought easter eggs and set up an easter egg hunt for him. she is so thoughtful.

today we have my niece, mia, and nephew, blake, here. jake loves sitting on mia's lap. it's pretty funny. he doesn't even sit on my lap.

family time is the best! we can never quite get enough!
